2. Flechten – Lichens
Many lichens are difficult to identify. Often for a proper identification a microscopic examination of the spores is necessary as well as the application of special chemicals which produce a color reaction according to the content in secondary metabolites. Thus the identification of some of the species here presented, especially among the crustose lichens, must remain uncertain.
