{"id":3182,"date":"2011-06-24T06:12:55","date_gmt":"2011-06-24T03:12:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/klqewmpxo.cyon.link\/?page_id=3182"},"modified":"2024-11-10T20:23:59","modified_gmt":"2024-11-10T18:23:59","slug":"festungen-und-wehrtuerme","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/azalas.de\/el\/festungen-und-wehrtuerme\/","title":{"rendered":"Festungen und Wehrt\u00fcrme"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/photos\/naxos\/sights\/fortresses\/apalirou_fortifications-1.jpg\" alt=\"\"><\/p>\n<h1>Festungen und Wehrt\u00fcrme<\/h1>\n<div>In der \u00c4g\u00e4is mit ihren zahlreichen Inseln hat sich schon sehr fr\u00fch eine Schifffahrt entwickelt: Mittels Booten und Schiffen erreichten die Menschen die Inseln, standen in Kontakt mit ihren Nachbarn und betrieben Handel.<\/p>\n<p>\u00dcber das Meer kamen aber auch Gefahren: Schon seit der Fr\u00fchen Bronzezeit entwickelte sich die Piraterie f\u00fcr die Bewohner der Inseln zum Problem, und vom 3. Jahrtausend v. Chr. bis in die Neuzeit hinein wurden die k\u00fcstennahen Regionen immer wieder von Piraten oder von den diversen Nachbarn  und Nachbarv\u00f6lkern \u00fcberfallen. Es ist also nicht verwunderlich, dass die Bewohner der \u00c4g\u00e4is ihre Siedlungen mit Wehranlagen umgaben und Wehrt\u00fcrme und Festungen bauten, in die sie sich im Falle eines Angriffs zur\u00fcckziehen konnten. Auf Naxos sind mehrere Festungen und zahlreiche Wehrt\u00fcrme erhalten.<\/p>\n<p><big>H<\/big>ier stelle ich bislang nur eine Auswahl der T\u00fcrme und Festungen der Insel vor; im Lauf der Zeit werden hoffentlich noch mehr dazu kommen. It is therefore not surprising that the inhabitants of the Aegean surrounded their settlements with fortifications and built defence towers and fortresses to which they could retreat in the event of an attack.
