In klaren Gew\u00e4ssern k\u00f6nnen sie bis in etwa 200 Meter Tiefe vorkommen; der gr\u00f6\u00dfte Teil der Arten ist jedoch auf wesentlich geringere Tiefen, ja oft auf die Gezeitenzone beschr\u00e4nkt.\n<\/div>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/photos\/naxos\/sea\/algae-3.jpg\" alt=\"Algen an der K\u00fcste von Naxos\"><\/p>\n<div><small>dichter Algenbewuchs aus verschiedenen Arten an der Wasserlinie<\/small><\/div>\n<h3>A. Die Seegr\u00e4ser<\/h3>\n<div>Die zwei h\u00e4ufigsten <a href=\"https:\/\/azalas.de\/de\/seegraeser\/\">Seegr\u00e4ser<\/a> bei uns sind das Tanggras, das in sandigen Buchten vorkommt und auch schon in geringerer Tiefe w\u00e4chst, und das Neptungras, das in mehreren Metern Wassertiefe stellenweise dichte Wiesen bildet. Algen<\/h3>\n<div>Die Algen stellen den L\u00f6wenanteil der Meerespflanzen. Sie sind eine \u00fcberaus interessante und vielgestaltige Pflanzengruppe, deren Systematik erst in Ans\u00e4tzen durchschaut ist. Die Bestimmung der Arten ist oft nicht einfach, da viele Merkmale nur mit einer starken Lupe oder besser mit einem Mikroskop zu erkennen sind. Au\u00dferdem wird das Bestimmen dadurch erschwert, dass es nur wenig geeignete Bestimmungsliteratur gibt. Dass ich nicht alle Arten bestimmen kann, oder manche Bestimmungen vielleicht falsch sind, soll mich aber nicht davon abhalten, die Arten, die bei uns h\u00e4ufig vorkommen hier vorzustellen: Algen sind n\u00e4mlich wirklich faszinierend!\n<\/div>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/photos\/naxos\/sea\/algae_coast-1.jpg\" alt=\"Algen an der K\u00fcste von Naxos\"><\/p>\n<div><small>Die verschiedenen Algenarten haben sehr unterschiedliche Wuchsformen.<\/small><\/div>\n<div>Wenn man sich mit den Meeresalgen besch\u00e4ftigt, muss man zun\u00e4chst einmal zwischen den planktischen, also frei im Meer treibenden, und den benthischen, also den auf dem Boden festsitzenden Algen unterscheiden. Die <strong>planktischen Algen<\/strong> spielen f\u00fcr das \u00d6kosystem des Meeres als Prim\u00e4rproduzenten eine besonders gro\u00dfe Rolle: Sie produzieren Sauerstoff, binden Kohlendioxid, geben organische Substanzen ins Meereswasser ab und dienen als Nahrung f\u00fcr unz\u00e4hlige Meerestiere. Der (&#8222;pelagische&#8220;) Lebensraum, den sie besiedeln, ist weitaus gr\u00f6\u00dfer als der benthische: Er umfasst die oberen Wasserschichten des gesamten Meeres. Die wichtigsten Gruppen pelagischer, planktischer Algen sind die Dinoflagellaten (=Panzeralgen), die einzelligen, bizarren Kieselalgen und die ebenfalls meist einzelligen, oft ein Kiesel- oder Kalkskelett tragenden Goldalgen. Diese Arten sind allerdings aufgrund ihres Vorkommens im offenen Meer und ihrer winzigen Gr\u00f6\u00dfe schwer zu untersuchen, darum m\u00fcssen wir sie hier leider unber\u00fccksichtigt lassen.<\/p>\n<p>Im Gegensatz zum pelagischen Lebensraum beschr\u00e4nkt sich der von den festsitzenden <strong>benthischen Algen<\/strong> besiedelte, euphotische Bereich des Meeresbodens auf einen mehr oder weniger schmalen Streifen die K\u00fcste entlang. Die benthischen Algen spielen als Nahrungsquelle im Meer eine geringere Rolle als die planktischen, da sie sich durch viele Ma\u00dfnahmen wie Kalkeinlagerungen oder ungenie\u00dfbare Inhaltstoffe recht effektiv vor Fra\u00df sch\u00fctzen. Sie stellen aber zahlreichen mikroskopisch kleinen und auch gr\u00f6\u00dferen Tieren den Lebensraum. Die drei Gruppen unterscheiden sich in Aufbau, chemischen Inhaltsstoffen und Fortpflanzungsweise ganz betr\u00e4chtlich voneinander. Der (\\\"pelagische\\\") Lebensraum, den sie besiedeln, ist weitaus gr\\u00f6\\u00dfer als der benthische: Er umfasst die oberen Wasserschichten des gesamten Meeres. Die wichtigsten Gruppen pelagischer, planktischer Algen sind die Dinoflagellaten (=Panzeralgen), die einzelligen, bizarren Kieselalgen und die ebenfalls meist einzelligen, oft ein Kiesel- oder Kalkskelett tragenden Goldalgen. Diese Arten sind allerdings aufgrund ihres Vorkommens im offenen Meer und ihrer winzigen Gr\\u00f6\\u00dfe schwer zu untersuchen, darum m\\u00fcssen wir sie hier leider unber\\u00fccksichtigt lassen.\\n\n\n<p><\\\/p>\\nIm Gegensatz zum pelagischen Lebensraum beschr\\u00e4nkt sich der von den festsitzenden <strong>benthischen Algen<\\\/strong> besiedelte, euphotische Bereich des Meeresbodens auf einen mehr oder weniger schmalen Streifen die K\\u00fcste entlang. Die benthischen Algen spielen als Nahrungsquelle im Meer eine geringere Rolle als die planktischen, da sie sich durch viele Ma\\u00dfnahmen wie Kalkeinlagerungen oder ungenie\\u00dfbare Inhaltstoffe recht effektiv vor Fra\\u00df sch\\u00fctzen. Sie stellen aber zahlreichen mikroskopisch kleinen und auch gr\\u00f6\\u00dferen Tieren den Lebensraum.
